Philodendron radiatum (Large grower) This is a unique and rare species of Philodendron. Philodendron radiatum has large leaves that are highly pinnate and similar looking to a philodendron bipinnatifidum (Selloum) but is climbs and does not form a trunk. The leaves can grow 2 to 3 feet long and wide with red tinted spath flowers. This form is seldom offered and origanally came from a good friend and well known aroid collector Joe Wright back in the 90s. It can easly be confusing when young with one form of Philodendron Radiatum (Barryii) this form called Barryii is common and extremely easy and fast to grow. The foliage tends to stay smaller and less pinnate than the large variety. I like growing both forms but the larger radiatum is a much more dramatic and saught after variety.
Plants are sold as bare rooted plants that have been grown in 3 to 5 gallon pots. Always limited and rare
