Spring Pre-Order

Eucomis 'Sparkling Burgundy' is one of the darkest plants in my garden. The dark narrow leaves emerge early/mid spring with an exceptionally dark burgundy color. It looks similar to a bromeliad. The strap like leaves grow to 2 or 3 feet tall. A spike of flowers emerge late in the summer with light pink/ white flowers held up 2 or 3 feet in the center of the plant. The foliage may turn a dark bronze by the end of the season.
A light mulching can help protect the crown once dormant in the fall. We over winter our plants easily outside in a zone 6 climate. This is a great plant to line the boarders of any landscape.
Plants are well grown in 4 inch pots.
