Canna indica is a large growing species. Many of the species cannas are a bit hard to find due to all the hybrids available on the market. A very tall growers to 7 to 9 feet tall with large wide leaves 2 feet long and 1 foot wide. Great foliage plant with small yellow flowers held atop the foliage. The flowers are very think and almost wasp shaped. I use it as a screen or back drop in a few displays. A great plant and has shown to be very hardy if mulched protected in winter.
